Nothing but a victim of His astounding love.
Break!
I am mega excited for this upcoming week of time at home. I have come up with a list of things I really want to and will do while back in Fremont. No idle oversleeping and sitting in front of the TV until 1pm. More and more things in life excite me these days, so it’s perfect timing that I get to go home to do all of these activities. So without further ado, the list:
- Long chunks of QT time alone with God
- Sit down and talk with my mom about matters that are dear to my heart
- Show her this letter I wrote to my dad so she can spell-check my horrible Korean spelling
- Give my dad the letter, duh
- Talk to my dad about the things in the letter
- Finish off new song
- Write out arrangements of my favorite worship songs/hymns
- Listen to sermons
- Journal
- Write letters to individuals to whom I’ve been meaning to write
- Spend quality time with people
- Pray for real pray
- Re-read through my human rights books from last semester’s LS 140D
- Go on filming outings and create a few short videos with new editing software (thanks John & Jeff!)
- Worship time on Ma’s baby grand
- keep up P90X
- A one-day/night family outing
So excited mayn. God is exciting.
Also, I’ve noticed a few things that seem to consistently tug at my heart when it comes to others sharing about God. One is when people with some disability, or young ones testify to the goodness of God. Another is when I see people of different nations worship him. I was honestly so blessed with the reading of Psalms in different languages at large group last week. It’s so simple yet stretches God so majestically beyond the cramped confines of my immediate perception of him. I think that’s why I am beginning to love sitting in Korean Ministry services; to me, it tangibly portrays the sovereignty and love of God in all languages and ages.
Praise God for the rain; praise God for the sun.
I am in a good place
not just right now, but in my being
his beloved,
I am in a good place for good dude.
